Dr Lei Shi is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Human Centered AI at Newcastle University's School of Computing. He directs the Haii Lab and leads research at the intersection of AI and HCI, focusing on human-AI co-creation, ethical AI, and applications in education, design, healthcare, and wellbeing. He supervises PhD students and teaches MSc HCI modules.
