Vivek Mohan Mallick obtained his PhD in 2008 from TIFR Mumbai working with Prof. V. Srinivas. After that, he was at IMSc, Chennai and CRM Barcelona, before joining IISER Pune in 2012. His work is the area of Algebraic geometry, and more specifically in tensor triangular geometry and varieties with torus actions.
