陈秉辉教授是厦门大学醇醚酯国家工程实验室的副主任，课题组的全称是：催化与反应工程实验室。课题组主要研究方向是煤化工过程中催化剂的开发和清洁生产中催化剂的研发。研究主要针对企业需求，横向课题较多。课题组内学生和老师相处和谐，大家关系很好。基本上是师兄师姐带师弟师妹的模式。
